Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him! - Mark 9:7
Jesus was transfigured on a high mountain top before Peter, James and John. The words that they heard from our glorious Father in heaven are words that we are to still follow today - "Listen to Him!" Whether it is from reading His word or through listening to His whispers in our hearts, we are to listen and obey our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Lord, we are so thankful for You. We praise You that you have given us eternal life through Your Son and that you have also given us a road map for our lives through Your Word. We ask that You quicken our hearts and minds so that we would listen to You and be doers of Your Word - not just hearers. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
