Day 14 - 40 Days in the Word: If God is for us, Who can be against us?

Updated: Mar 6

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?  Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. --Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

Wow, if God is for us, who can be against us? That is powerful!  How amazing also that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is at the right hand of God interceding for us!  We have one intercessor between God and man and that is Jesus himself.  Because of His work on the cross, we can come before the throne of God and lay our burdens down before Him.

Prayer:  We thank You and praise You our Holy Triune God!  We thank You Father for giving us Your son.  We thank You Jesus that you love us so much that you laid down Your life for us.  We thank You Holy Spirit that You are working in us to will and to act in order to fulfill God’s good purpose.  We pray, Lord, that You will continue to work in us in such a way that we will fully embrace what the gift of You in our lives’ means and we will lay everything before You, being fully transparent in all ways, so that we can receive the blessings You intend for us and You would be glorified.  In Jesus' most holy name we pray, Amen.
