Day 2 - 40 Days in the Word

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. - Psalm 91: 11-12.  Do not put the LORD your God to the test as you did at Massah -  Deuteronomy 6:16 

Just as Jesus totally trusted His Father, we are to do the same.  Our God instructs us not to test Him, and we don't need to.  In His sovereignty and goodness, He alone knows what we need, and He is able to accomplish it.  When we are fully surrendered to Him and His will, He is able to do exceedingly more than all we could hope or ask for. 

Prayer:  Father, we thank You for who You are.  We thank You that You can be trusted at all times and in all circumstances.  We ask that we are ever mindful of Your goodness and trustworthiness.  In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
