Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ - Matthew 25:34-36.

Our Lord is a God of compassion and mercy. He told us that the two most important commandments are to love the Lord with your whole heart, with your whole soul and with all your mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. Our Christian walk is not to be one that only concerns our needs. We are to show the love of our Lord and Savior by doing acts of service, love and mercy toward others.
Prayer: Lord, we thank You that You are a merciful and loving God. We ask that You keep our hearts and our eyes open as we go about our day so that we may be available to the needs of this hurting world. We ask for divine appointments so that we may show Your love to others. We ask this in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
