Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. – I John 5:11-12

The above passage makes it pretty clear that if a person does not have Jesus Christ, they won’t have eternal life with God. There is no human being who has ever lived, other than Jesus Christ, who died and then three days later came back to life and was seen by hundreds. Some of these people who were eyewitnesses to His death and resurrection went on to record these facts for the generations to come and were even willing to die for what they knew to be true. Jesus Himself said regarding God, “I and the Father are one (John 10:30).” There are a lot of religions in the world, but there is only one that is true. Jesus Himself tells us through His Word, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).” If we don’t believe Him, we don’t believe God, which pretty much says we think God is a liar. The truth is God has spoken, Jesus Christ is our Savior, and if we don’t accept this, we won’t have eternal life with Him. God Himself became a man and took the sins of the world on Him. It’s our choice to accept this.
Prayer: Thank You Lord, for the gift of Your Son, Jesus. We accept the truth of who He is, and We ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of our lives. Thank You for all that You’ve done for us and the great lengths You went to in saving Your lost world. We believe Your Words, and we thank You that when we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, we are saved. We pray that You would remove the scales from the eyes of those who do not believe this Truth and we ask that you would help us in leading others to Your Truth. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
