In a world filled with competing voices and shifting beliefs, the words of Jesus in John 14:6 stand with unwavering clarity: He is the way, the truth, and the life. Not a way among many—but the only way. This truth can feel countercultural, even uncomfortable, yet it is the foundation of our faith and our hope. Jesus doesn’t just point us toward truth—He is truth. He doesn’t just show us how to live—He is life itself. When we fully embrace this, it transforms not only our eternity but also how we walk each day—with confidence, purpose, and boldness to lovingly share Him with others.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.- John 14:6

This pretty much sums it up, doesn’t it? The words “no one” mean that not one person, not one, can come to the Father except through Jesus. As the way, only Jesus can provide the path to salvation. As the truth, Jesus is the incarnate Word of God, and is the SOURCE of all truth. By contrast, the devil is the father of lies, and the world wants us to believe those lies - lies like, “Truth is relative” or “There are many paths to God, etc.” There was only one human being who came to earth, died, and rose again on the third day, and the world, in addition to individuals, was forever changed! That human being was both man and God – Jesus Christ. This Jesus gives us deliverance from a life of bondage to sin and death to a life of freedom in eternity.
For those reading who may not yet know Jesus: If Jesus truly is the way, the truth, and the life, what might be holding you back from fully trusting Him—and are you willing to explore that honestly? For believers, how does knowing Jesus is the source of all truth bring you peace or clarity today?
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, that You came to provide the way for us out of bondage to the sin that ensnares everyone on earth and that You lead us into the only truth – Your truth. We thank You that You came to give us life, and life to the fullest, both now and forever. We can never thank You enough. We ask that we will be always mindful of the treasure You are and will continually praise you for everything You’ve done and continue to do for us. Help us to boldly share Your truth with those who don’t know you so that they too would know the way, the truth and the life. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
